Average enjoyer T @AverageEnjoyer Mar 4 Personally I find the movie to be a decent watch. I find it to be overhated but it’s not what I would call a great movie. It’s a decent watch, the world is interesting and so is the tech. My only real issue is the accents. Many other people can agree on this that are weird and unfitting to the world. Why would everyone in the car future be speaking in southern accents. It’s a little weird and kinda goofy. But overall I enjoy the movie every time I watch it and I don’t get why people hate the fact that Jaden was in it. In my opinion, he was better off acting than the cringy nonsense he gets up to now. He also had a good performance in the Karate Kid remake even though the movie was stupid. And pursuit of happiness is a highly rated movie, it just seems like critics just waited for the perfect flop to turn on him and start spewing nepotism this and nepotism that. In all honestly I think the harsh criticism stems from the popular hate for Hollywood nepotism. It's just a fun survivalist ride not to be taken too seriously. My biggest issue is not that Smith's son is in it, which made a lot of people to hate on the movie without giving it a chance. He was actually a good actor. My problem is the southern accents. Its not the occasional southern accent, thats not uncommon and can be desirable. It's that EVERYONE is using one, even actors not known for it. That stopped me from fully enjoying the movie. I like most of Will Smith’s movies and M. Night Shyamalan usually directs well. This movie looks ok, but the plot is meh. However, what really drags this movie down is the acting. Sometimes the apple falls miles from the tree and sometimes it’s in a different galaxy. The kid should consider a different career. I was mostly bored with this. See more Read all reviews
