09/07/2017 Just because a movie has it's sad and even tear jerking scenes? Does not make the movie a downer. This movie is very much the opposite. Coming from someone who's mom passed from Alzheimer's. See more 04/22/2012 A very moving film. It moves along well and excellent acting. You cannot help but want this man to wake up from his brain's slumber. Wollter does this character amazingly. You watch him go from a proud independent man to that of a clueless child. The only criticism I have for this film is that there is something about this film that leaves you detached from the story. You never feel apart of the story. You only feel like a mere spectator. Still, it is worth your time. See more 01/24/2012 This one was tough to watch, as a man who had been a brilliant composer slowly succumbed to Alzheimer's and his wife tried her best to keep him going. Absolutely brilliant portrayal by Steven Wollter as Martin and Viveka Seldahl as Barbara. The supporting cast was excellent and the emotions were never far from the surface. The music was divine. See more 11/30/2010 A very well acted, written, & directed film about a romance fighting a losing battle with an untreatable disease. The film itself is slow paced, but heavy on emotions since it addresses the progressive deterioration of the man's health, and it's crippling effect on him and his family. Even though the two met and fell in love while they were married to other people, you still feel bad for what they endure throughout the film.
