Mitch C @PrimetimeMitch 2d Not in a million years did I see a 4 star review coming from that. It's not perfect - it loses some plaudits for the first act being somewhat stiff - it's as if it's trying to find its feet in an audition. Adam Hampton is believable as the damaged Scott, having suffered at the hands of his horrendous stepfather (Chase Pollock depicts the younger Scott) and the continuous look of pain he never lets go is palpable. He's played off of effectively by a strong performance from Tommy Halum whom I'd like to see more of. The biggest praise goes to Shawn Michaels. Who gives everything to this role and with a certain amount of relatability. Having turned his own life around to make a career resurgence, he plays both faces here - you somehow go from loathing his very presence to feeling sad for him - his earlier antics creating a guilty pity I wasn't prepared. It does swerve a little with the break-in scene and it might derail you somewhat, but if you're still with it after that - it's a gem.
