Absolutely love this movie 30 years old now I remember seeing this when I was way way younger… Chris Rock is a comedy legend and I miss this era of Comedy. I don’t understand how this has so much hate. Y’all got no taste !!!

Now I understand why Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars.

Really ROTTEN. No way to find actor and Co interesting. No good jokes. Nothing funny.

A very sweet remake of "Heaven can Wait," with a few twists that make it all its own. Very solid performances by Rock, Regina King, and especially Frankie Faison in the role so memorably played by Jack Warden in the great 1978 film. Wanda Sykes and Jennifer Coolidge were also very good. No, this wasn't the equal of HCW, but it is a very pleasant movie in its own right.

It's funny & enjoyable, what u want to ask for more?

I f'ing love this movie. Chris Rock makes films like he wants to see the world, and this is what I love about the movies he chooses to make*. This is a futuristic health care film where we see how hospitals would run if a black man popped into an old white man's bod, which is: HEALTHCARE FOR ALL! It's a really dreamy perspective which should be a reality already. Where does this funny film go wrong? Our main man Chris needs romantic leading man lessons. The love scenes with the beautiful Regina King are cringe-y, and King doesn't need any help acting, so...hint hint. *I won't be seeing "Spiral"

Chris Rock is so funny!

Down to Earth is an alright comedy, Rock & Sykes have pretty solid performances.

forgettable remake, with only Rock to recommend it.

This movie does not age well but then again it wasn't that good in the first place.

Inconsistent in a way of performing an act then drop it for another while eyeing the goal it eventually reaches and disposes the majority of a plot, with acceptable exception towards wrongfully discomforting masquerading matchup. Chris Rock kept it strong with his signature humor and occasional serious points for an intriguing and comedically promising premise but somehow couldn't help the direction he'd put himself into albeit his best way to handle it when off the director's chair. Predictable and un-suprising.

I used to watch this movie alot as a kid. Maybe that's why I like it so much. I'm surprised to see a rotten status on this movie. Wanda Sykes has me laughing in almost every scene I watch. Chris Rock was one of my first favorite comedians.

Not as good as Heaven Can Wait. The maid from the Jeffersons (Wanda Sykes) the best part - small part.

The idea was pretty ridiculous but it was funnier than I thought it would be.

A black comic dies and is given a new body but.....it's white.

Mar 17, 2016

Dumb sorta funny Chris rock movie.

Feb 16, 2016

The script is as lifeless as the character.

Critics Consensus is pretty much spot on, but it also felt like a thrown-together plot to get to a ten-minute Chris Rock stand-up set at the end.
