In Seattle during the era of grunge music, the lives and relationships of a group of young people, all living in the same apartment building, go through a period of flux. Among them are waitress and aspiring architect Janet (Bridget Fonda), who finds herself obsessed with bad boy musician Cliff (Matt Dillon) ; Linda (Kyra Sedgwick), an emotionally fragile environmentalist on the look-out for love; and Steve (Campbell Scott), a quintessential nice guy who studies traffic patterns.

What is supposed to be a vignette that captures a moment for a generation in Seattle that changed American culture never quite lives up to the promise. It is plotless and lacks any broader point than, "Love is complicated." The quirky Crowe dialogue crosses over into cheesy at points.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE. This is my newest favorites movie. I loved how there were different stories we could follow along with and I loved how every story had its own ending. This movie generally gave me goosebumps at times and almost even made me cry. It was amazing and I definitely recommend it.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são mais ou menos, o elenco é mais ou menos, e alguns ajudam a melhorar o filme, a história é mais ou menos, os personagens sao fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes para fazer o filme ser bom.

5 stars because I was 17/18 years old when the movie came out. I understand if you think of it as a movie worth 3.5, if your generation was formed in its core either before 1992, or after. The soundtrack alone is worth a 5 star, and the way it capture its time follows shortly.
