Loving You has a plot. But it sadly rehashes the old overnight-success routine; in this case a displaced fairy tale running pat and obvious. Go to Full Review

Tyler S @tylerking24 Sep 10 The earlier Elvis films continue to be fairly strong. When I first understood what was going on, I was a little worried this could fall off the rails. But no, they kept things interesting. This might also be the best soundtrack in an Elvis film that I have seen so far. See more Chris D 10/29/2024 This just may be Elvis’s best movie See more Jared Z 05/04/2024 Elvis' second film, his first as the film's lead, his first color film and overall one of his best. The somewhat melodramatic but nonetheless touching story of a young laborer who becomes a rock and roll sensation (sound familiar?). Perhaps the most autobiographical picture Elvis ever made, and perhaps the closest any of his films ever came to catching "Elvismania" at its peak. See more Michele B 10/01/2023 first elvis movie in color and his first debut in a leading role. out of all his movies i've watched thus far this one feels almost biographical as it's about finding a new young star that becomes an overnight sensation that women go crazy over. is it a cinematic masterpiece? definitely not as most of his movies weren't. it is really good though if you love elvis basically just playing elvis See more steve d 01/30/2023 One of The King's weakest outings. See more 02/13/2020 This was only second Elvis film to be released, coming after "Love me Tender", and the first to be in color (even though the next two films :Jailhouse Rock and King Creole, were back in black and white). Let's start with the music as this will be the longest section. there are songs like party and hot dog which aren't really my things but their decent tracks but that's manly because of Elvis's voice. You can hear the song Mean Woman Blues in the background of one scene. It's a good song but it's only there for a few seconds. Got a Lot O'Livin to do is a track I quite like a lot, but it's definitely not my favorite. Loving You feels like this films Love me Tender, a slow paced love song that is quite good, but I would just rather listen to Love me Tender. Teddy Bear is probably the best song in the movie, and it's just fine. Elvis is great on it, and so is the piano, and the background vocals are pretty good but not the best. overall the songs just aren't as good as any of the other Elvis films from the 50s. The film is competently shot and the acting is decent enough, I really don't have anything else about this movie. It isn't all to remarkable or interesting, but it is a decent time if you are a Elvis fan. See more Read all reviews
