Everybody To Kenmure Street (2026) 100% A EDIT “Told tightly and succinctly, it's an inspiring piece of work, enhanced by the diverse collection of voices assembled as first-hand witnesses.” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review The Best Summer (2026) A- EDIT “A nostalgia play in some ways, but also a loving scrapbook to youth and rock and friendship. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Josephine (2026) 97% A- EDIT “what Josephine captures is the way that trauma can still be experienced even if a person doesn't fully understand what happened.” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Lady (2026) 93% B+ EDIT “Manages two remarkable achievements at once: Delivering both a slice-of-life narrative, rich with cultural details, while at the same time telling a galvanizing, even inspiring story about a person finding her voice to demand real change. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Extra Geography (2026) 100% B+ EDIT “Miriam Battye's script (adapting the short story by Rose Tremain) is packed with lines both simultaneously blunt and clever, as both girls discover what they're going to leave behind, in their rush to grow up.” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Union County (2026) 100% B+ EDIT “A deeply empathic picture, powerful in its attention to detail, and still capable of real hope. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Public Access (2026) 58% B EDIT “Though the project-focused structure keeps the movie from having much pure momentum, Public Access is ultimately a lovely tribute to underground media and its importance to so many marginalized groups.” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty! (2026) 92% B EDIT “The ending perhaps doesn't feel fully earned. But it's still a powerful reminder that no matter how messy life may get, it's still possible for the human spirit to prevail. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Carousel (2026) 70% B EDIT “Rachel Lambert proves to have a solid grasp of tone, building a quiet yet casual intimacy between Noah and Rebecca that leads to some of the film's best scenes. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review The Musical (2026) 62% B- EDIT “It never feels like director Giselle Bonilla and writer Alexander Heller want us to think of Doug as a heroic figure, but he's an unlikeable enough presence that it's hard to be sure of their intentions. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Sentient (2026) C+ EDIT “The doc's revelations don't compensate nearly well enough for the emotional trauma any animal lover will experience while watching. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review The Muppet Show (2026) 98% A- EDIT “What this new Muppet Show confirms is that in the hands of fans, Jim Henson’s legacy is safe — but specifically these fans, who understand the formula and know just how much to tweak it for today. ” – Consequence Feb 3, 2026 Full Review Melania (2026) 8% F EDIT “Look, Leni Riefenstahl was a terrible person, but at least she had some style. Accused sex pest/confirmed hack Brett Ratner, meanwhile, captures the proceedings with all the flair of an HGTV show. ” – Consequence Jan 30, 2026 Full Review 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (2026) 92% A- EDIT “The Bone Temple once again pulls off the 28 Days Later trick of finding moments of grace at the end of the world, with enough beautiful moments to balance out the grotesque ones.” – Consequence Jan 13, 2026 Full Review Anaconda (2025) 48% B EDIT “A movie far less scary than its campy 1997 predecessor, but far funnier — on purpose.” – Consequence Dec 23, 2025 Full Review Is This Thing On? (2025) 86% B+ EDIT “As personal as some of this material feels, it feels like a real collaboration of artists, all enabling Cooper to tell a heartfelt story with universal scope.” – Consequence Dec 18, 2025 Full Review Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) 66% B EDIT “Everything is always loud, from the music to the visual design to the emotions. It's an approach ensuring that Cameron's message will be heard by even the most distracted viewer. ” – Consequence Dec 16, 2025 Full Review Casanova (2015) C- EDIT “Agonizingly slow and far too reliant on nonexistent sexual chemistry to sustain interest, "Casanova" feels like a show that's trying to borrow from every genre because it lacks a clear identity of its own.” – IndieWire Dec 12, 2025 Full Review Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery (2025) 92% A- EDIT “Wake Up Dead Man feels less like the third movie in an ongoing series of mysteries and more like the confident Season 3 of a prestige TV show — one where the creators feel fully seated in their powers, certain to deliver something captivating.” – Consequence Nov 25, 2025 Full Review Wicked: For Good (2025) 66% B- EDIT “For Good doesn’t sell Elphaba’s decree that "no good deed will I do again," one of the movie’s many muddled moments. It does, however, reflect an age where every message feels muddled, no hero can be trusted. All we know is that something is rotten here.” – Consequence Nov 18, 2025 Full Review The Running Man (2025) 62% B EDIT “The Running Man offers a more anarchic message than we might be used to from standard Hollywood blockbusters, but that message gets drowned out, leaving behind a loud violent romp that's almost a bit too on the nose for these loud violent times of ours. ” – Consequence Nov 11, 2025 Full Review Predator: Badlands (2025) 86% A- EDIT “Badlands flips the approach and finds something fresh and wonderful and bold as a result — as if James Cameron had made Terminator 2 entirely from the T-800’s point of view. ” – Consequence Nov 6, 2025 Full Review Bugonia (2025) 88% C+ EDIT “For those who loved The Menu, the odds are exceptionally good that Bugonia will also have equal appeal. ” – Consequence Oct 30, 2025 Full Review Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere (2025) 61% B EDIT “Deliver Me from Nowhere doesn’t aim to be the definitive tale of Bruce Springsteen’s life, but it does make smart choices in trying to subtly showcase the reasons why his legacy extends beyond some great rock songs. ” – Consequence Oct 21, 2025 Full Review Frankenstein (2025) 85% A- EDIT “There’s such humanity and spirit to what del Toro has done that despite the narrative differences, it genuinely feels like the definitive take on Shelley’s classic tale. ” – Consequence Oct 16, 2025 Full Review
